模体用来检测医院的CT性能，由塑料制成，Catphan500, Catphan600, Catphan5700, CTP500, CTP600, CTP700等. 另外一个是医院的磁共振性能检测模体，完全使用有机玻璃制成，也有两个型号，其中的圆柱形，就是Magphan® SMR170，厂家是美国模体实验室。
功能：Phantomlab与物理学家兼哲学家Goodenough, Ph.D.,共同努力发展了Catphan®模体。新型的Catphan®模体设计是基于医疗成像仪器方面二十多年的科学研究和临床经验。该种模体可以应用于轴向和螺旋CT扫描成像系统的各种操作评价以及质量保证系统。
不同的模块组成了Catphan®模体，这些模块尚可适用于连续20cm空间。为了在Catphan®424中使用水容器，所有Catphan®组件都是由Solid-cast材料构成。Solid-cast结构可以降低材料的吸水性和水浴模体相关的露水问题。
